About Your Beautiful Path Counselling

Heather Pringle, Counsellor, MA, CCC
It is an honour for me to work with people as they seek healing and strength. I want people to feel truly welcomed in counselling sessions. I meet with people who have a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma symptoms (acute stress, ongoing traumatic situations, and PTSD), self-esteem difficulties, recovery from abuse, parenting, and identity and meaning seeking. I also have a keen interest in working with neurodiverse clients, in a way that honours each person's unique experiences, qualities, identities, and needs.
My passion is to help people connect to themselves in ways that work well for them. Whether you want to recover, process a difficult issue from different angles, find care and support for yourself, or work on relationship concerns, your happiness and well-being in these areas matters. I tailor my approach to the goals that you have for therapy and believe that a collaborative therapeutic relationship is the best way I can help. Collaborative therapy involves prioritizing how you feel about therapy and making adjustments to meet your needs. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Ego State Therapy.
I can be reached by email to set up a a 10-minute consultation, so that I can provide information specific to your hopes for counselling.

I currently have a waitlist for new clients.

Do you have experience counselling LGBTQ clients?
Yes, I have experience counselling LGBTQ clients. I am affirming of LGBTQ people and seek to create a safe and informed practice for topics regarding personhood, including gender and sexuality.
How long will counselling take for me?
The length of time for counselling depends on a few factors including the type of concern you are hoping to work on and your goals for counselling. Sometimes people will have a specific topic they want to consult on short-term (one to eight sessions). Other times, people will work on longer term concerns for a few months or a year or more. Long-term therapy is often recommended for complex trauma or anxiety and depression that has been ongoing.
